It must be hard to be you, having a bad take, and then having to defend it on the internet with more bad takes.

I just call bad takes like I see em.

Without my glasses, a lot of cars look exactly the same to me too, but it would be foolish of me to reject wearing my glasses because I prefer to see things the way I see them (which is poorly).

I don’t disagree with you that the Golf is boring to look at. I think you also need to look up the definition of “middle

Super weird comment given that the beetle is iconic for it’s bubble shape and the Golf is iconic for being shaped like a shoe-box. They looks totally different. Maybe see an eye doctor.

Is it just me or do people who aren’t fans of Beyonce always have to tell you about it?

You think a Golf R is gonna be worth 25k year in 10 years? My Golf R is probably barely worth that now at almost 3 years old lol.

In 10 years if it’s worth 10k ill probably be ecstatic!

I dunno about that, used GTIs are CHEAP AF. Used GTI are the real MVP.

I mean, the current Tacoma is basically 1.5 version of the Tacoma released in 2005 so to be honest, that is probably what Nissan should do. But Toyota owns that market, the Taco, despite it’s flaws, is the go to small truck, even despite recent re-entries from GM and Ford.

This! I freaking hate when people wave other people on when it isn’t their turn. And it goes both ways, if you are a pedestrian and you have the right of way, and a car has acknowledged it, take it! Don’t wave cars on, especially when other people could be trying to cross the street too! A number of times a fellow

I mean, I don’t think hardly any pound puppies come with actual names since most of them are found on the street. Our dog was named “Pickles” at the shelter, which is adorable but also wrong.

Also, I am pretty sure he would respond to any name in the right voice, I don’t think dogs are that attached to their names.

Ah, I guess from a trap speed perspective you are right. A stage 1 golf R kicks it up to like 114mph...but my clutch couldn’t handle it lol.

I think comparing DSG to the stinger makes more sense though, since the stinger doesn’t come in stick (shame). :)

The Type-R is a serious threat to the Golf R from a performance perspective, no doubt about it. It’s a good thing it’s so ugly or I might have to go test drive one.

I haven’t driven a turbocharged SI, but I don’t see why it would be “painfully slow” in the real world given that it weighs 200 lbs less than a GTI and has

Good lord, has anyone ever been so angry and misguided on the internet as this person? /sarcasm

Keep up the good work Jason, I for one appreciate seeing your son share in your passion, I hope it lasts a long time for you, before he really starts acting out as a teenager.

Civic Si, Focus ST, Subaru WRX I would say are the primary alternatives to the GTi. I would throw a Mazda3 on that list too, if going fast was secondary to a nice driving experience.

Why is it a problem that the R exists in the same price sphere as those very different alternatives? The Stinger/G70 are slower, the

The R murders much higher priced cars on track and is significantly easier to drive at the limit than say a high power RWD car. 40k is a lot of money to spend on a car, but the Golf R is a bargain for what you get.

Meanwhile, the GTI is a nice hot hatch, but it can’t step up into the big leagues the way a modified R

Two words: Resale Value.

Yeah, it’s true, they skimped on the spare tire, which is a damn shame, but don’t worry they included some tire goop and a compressor lol.

because the GTI would just collect dust?
