Only on jalopnik do you have people who have owned both :p

Well it’s certainly not my fault/problem that you are a giant, suck it up tall people, it’s a pro 95% of the time.
Makes me glad I ended up waiting a few months then, I had a great experience and was extremely sad to let her go (but alas, fatherhood beckons!)
There is a lot more tech stuff that could go wrong. HUD, more complex infotainment, seat heat and cooling, etc. I know a lot of people had problems with their infotainment, but I never had issues... Not sure if it’s related or not.
Yep, I had a 2011 WRX hatch and a 2014 Corvette, and the C7 definitely gets better hwy mileage and slightly better overall mileage than my WRX (and my S2000).
Official rating is actually 28mpg with Cyl Deactivation off and 30mpg with it on. I found this to be pretty accurate as I usually didn’t use it and got 27-28mpg on the highway.
Best I ever did was two consecutive tanks of 32mpg on the way from Yellowstone and California (might be slightly downhill overall). Most typically, I got high 27-28mpg on highway trips to Los Angeles. Average over 30k miles was 21.2mpg.
Yep, just traded my 2014 in for 37.5k with 30k miles on it. Halfheartedly tried to sell it for 39.5k private party but it just wasn’t worth the trouble. The dealership that bought it still had it on the lot for a while and dropped the price a few times, last I saw was just under 41k so I felt justified...
Did you get yours right away? I bought mine in February of 2014 and I had no problems... Mine was a 1LT though so less stuff to go wrong...
California doesn’t have vehicle inspections. There are too many cars on the road for that crap, but I wish they did sometimes, when some POS breaks down and makes the already bad traffic, worse.
Also, smog inspections aren’t that bad. You don’t have to do them for the first 6 years of owning a vehicle and after than…
Mostly correct, there is a diesel offering available on the wagon as well though (-28d)
Which makes it even harder to understand how it fell completely off the list, but I guess they do tend to try to pick new engines, or at least new vehicles each year, which might explain it.
Don’t those kind of go hand in hand? I can’t think of any current production engines with less than 8 cylinders with more displacement than that.
It is worth noting, that the VooDoo engine made the list for 2016...
The only ones that seem worth of the list are the CX-9, the Volt, the V60, and the Focus RS. It seems like a miss to not have the Gt350 motor on the list...
“and still manages 36 MPG on the highway—that’s eight MPGs better than that disgustingly thirsty GTI!”
Just remember that no one can take away how you felt about the original game, memories can’t be ruined.
It seems like much less of a hassle than going to retrieve your car from the impound lot which they also could do.
I feel like the assumption is that they learned the lesson, which is probably true.
