I don’t think asking if a victim was drinking is bad. I do think that lawyers who then use that information to imply that the woman deserves what happens to her is wrong. Or the lawyers that question a woman about her sexual history as though if she’s slept around she can’t be raped. Those are I think more problematic.

The difference is lifting the limitations does NOT mean every case has to be prosecuted. The example you gave, I imagine most would decline to prosecute. But if you have a women with witnesses, videos, messages that corroborate her story why can’t she try for her day in court?
