True, but... She wanted to. After Clinton won the nomination, Sarandon wanted Clinton to lose, and wasn’t afraid to going around saying as much. And it really is impossible to say how her antics may have affected voter enthusiasm - it probably didn’t change anything, but who can say?

You can say that Sarandon didn’t contribute to Trump’s election, and I think a strong case can be made that nobody listens to her.

Sarandon has no self-awareness and she is coward. She wants to silence her critics and figures that calling them “Trumpian” is makes her the winner.

In fact, Sarandon probably stands to gain a great deal financially from Trump’s presidency.

I mean, that was stupid and all, but she didn’t contribute to the rapid erosions of civil rights in America, the next major economic crash, the (possible) start of any wars, or an environmental catastrophe of unimaginable scale.
