I don’t know. It’s certainly tragic, but tragic stuff happens. We know from Discovery that in the future the federation barely exists anymore. Maybe this is just a major event in its future/history that defines that downfall?

It’s definitely been rough the last few years. Much of the show comes across as sooooo campy, and at times I’ve had a hard time sticking with it. I guess I feel that I’ve invested too much time not to see it through, but it’s not something I’m going to miss.
