We should be burning those flags on the regular. Along with confederate flags and swastika flags.

I don’t like plague rats. But I really despise rich, Black plague rats.

They were never going to pull it. They gave him way too much money to do that.

Good Lord, it’s the 80s all over again.

I always wonder about the thought process in the moments leading up to spectacularly stupid acts like this.

Not remotely surprised. People decide for themselves what their dealbreakers are. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if just his being in the news made people curious about him. He’s still going to prison though, right?

Additional information.

I hold out hope that one day killer cops catch the hands or the bullets they so richly deserve.

I understand where you’re coming from and I respect it. I just...disagree.

Here’s a rare moment where you and I agree on something. We don’t need more Old Man Action movies. That includes Denzel’s Equalizer movies too. Unfortunately there’s a real market for old guy wish fulfillment among the executives who greenlight projects.

This! And another thing (sorry to pile on Nate, but not really), he has no idea what it means to be good manager. He thinks managing the team is solely about developing game strategy. But look what he did with the False 9.

I agree. Elba seems to like to mix up his projects and keep things eclectic. Bond movies just eat up all of an actor’s time and bandwidth. Now is a perfect time for a reset.

Essentially, the only way Nate’s story really works for me is if it forces self-reflection from Ted, Beard, and the rest of the coaching staff about their responsibility for Nate’s heel turn.

Nope. I’m not interested in what he has to say anymore. I am not his target audience.

Same. I’ve watched all of his specials and laughed less with each consecutive one. 8:46 was good because it was cathartic. Chappelle met a cultural moment head on. But the one before that bored me until maybe the last 15 minutes. I’m not even going to bother with this one.

This is who Dave Chappelle is now. He’s Andrew Dice Clay. He’s not going to get better. He’s just going to keep getting more defiant and less funny.

This is who Chappelle is now. This is how he’s branding himself. He’s not going to get any better. In fact he’s just going to get more petulant and bitter. He’s Andrew Dice Clay morphing into Don Rickles.

That’s before he got rich.

This was to be expected, right? Chappelle lives for this kind of thing.

“Will you shut the fuck up, Morgan Freeman?”
