Now now, it's only a modest proposal.

You know, you can dismiss it as "snark" all you like, but the fact is you're speaking to someone whose health has been directly, provably affected by an unvaccinated person. My mother contracted rubella while pregnant with me. As a result, I was born with a massive congential heart defect. I had major surgery before

I agree with you. I was raised in a totally non-religious home and yet I went on to major in Comparative Religion. Because understanding someone's worldview is an important way to understand their behavior.

Yeah I think it's been sufficiently covered how wrong you are, pumpkin.

I think we've already done that, anyway. Colonialism or BUST!

And they'd rather risk the lifelong disability of polio! Good choice amirite?!

Yeah I was reading about some "health group" that refuses to vaccinate kids and how they've never had kid at their practice who was autistic. Like they'd admit it if they had. Probably say the mom must have seeeekritly vaccinated somewhere else!

I don't know how old you are. I'm a child of the 70's, myself. Growing up, everyone I knew had chicken pox. Literally. Everyone. My brother somehow didn't get it until 16 and everyone thought that was *so weird* because they'd all had it by first grade.

My mom got rubella. While pregnant with me.

Haha I should have scrolled down further before posting exactly the same thing. I knew I couldn't be the only one to see that glaring discrepancy.

Measles: 92-94% needed for herd immunity.

I want to snoogle his little faaaaace!

Yes, that's the point. Someone who likes you will act like they like you. Someone who doesn't but is trapped by the circumstance into being nice to you will certainly appreciate having a face-saving out to turn you down.

Yes thank you, my stepson is autistic and we carefully monitor his online behavior. He often picks up phrases that he doesn't understand the meaning of but will use anyway (like last summer's "Is that a rocket in your pocket?" debacle). And he has difficulty understanding why people don't play a game the same way HE

See that's one of those movies where I'd only read a recap. Ever since I saw "2001" as a child movies with spacewalks make me panicky and anxious. I *always* expect disaster and "Gravity" is entirely a spacewalk-gone-wrong movie.

I'm actually a little surprised they ferment because I didn't think they had any actual fruit. I guess it's the sugar?

oh ... my ... god.

Oh yes. I know what you mean by "high point". Mine was maybe 28-34. I was kind of a late bloomer.

Yeah why is she dating at all when she's clearly too old (by her own logic) to catch a man anyway? Don't they all want hot young things 20 years younger?

This was the movie that introduced a very young me to the entire concept of a MacGuffin, so I vote for this one also.
