Labor disputes are always such a drag...

Dammit Drew, has anyone at GQ ever met you in-person? If so, we need to discuss a serious overhaul of the HR vetting process.

Dammit +1

I’m glad Russ Tyler finally made his way to the NHL..

What’s your take on apples?

Dear Millennials,

Here’s a bike helmet, trash can lid, and memorial star. Good luck, kid...

Beat me to it.

If you say Kirk Gibson, you lose a testicle.

I’m cool with the kick-off idea, but each team should be able to select the other’s kicker. Fat lineman field goal!

True, but the Dems only nuked the filibuster for appointees in 2013 after unprecedented obstruction from the GOP during Obama’s first term.

Not sure what you mean in the last part, but there’s no disagreement from me in reviewing the way we do things as a nation. We’re not perfect by any stretch.

My apologies, my emotional instinct got the best of me. My response is not the way forward in a divided nation and represents all that is wrong with how we approach discussing and solving problems in America today. Thank you for your service as a teacher and willingness to guide the next generation on how to clean up

I’m not trying to be argumentative, but I said that EC votes are “largely based on population.”

“Because of how basic division works, one electoral vote in Wyoming is worth far more than one electoral vote in California.”

I won’t disagree that systems need to change, especially or current one, but I don’t think we need wholesale change either. I think eliminating partisan control of redistricting, standardizing election procedures, and automatically registering every legal voter are 3 easy steps that will have a TREMENDOUS (positive)

Lol, this entire thread is seemingly based on theoretical vs practical.

You’re misrepresenting my premise. I’m simply arguing that the votes in the electoral college are “largely based on population.”

If you want a different system than the EC, I’m fine with that as long as it reliably produces a really in line with the general will of the voters.

Because it slows down democracy and causes us to consider the needs of minority groups. It prevents oppression.
