Sure. What I’m saying is, if the next gen 718 isn’t all electric, don’t expect big thumping flat-6's throughout the lineup.  If they exist, they’ll be teeny tiny, and turbocharged.  Which isn’t a terrible thing.

Yeah, these are the speculated “GT4 Touring” wingless flat-6 test mules that have been observed lapping the ring.

Highly doubtful. With all the displacement downsizing occurring throughout the Porsche lineup, the only way it’ll change back to all flat-6's is if displacement is decreased even further.

A used Chevy SS is considerably newer and only a little more expensive.

Good to see that it will get the bump to midrange punch that it desperately needs.

You should be glad they took those awful things out! Heck, in the final year of Evo X production, Mitsu did the work for you...they pulled all the Recaros out of the Evo and charged you for it!

My guess is he took the peak gains from each part throughout the rev range, and added them to his stock peak horsepower rating. Read more

The overblown concerns about the IMS bearing makes the 2006-2008 987's and 997's a real bargain. They also dramatically overshadow the real issue with the engine...the potential for bore scoring.

His ‘07 Cayman S with bolt-ons does not have 365 horsepower.  He probably got another 15-20 over the stock 295.

I’ll be looking for a car in this class in a year or so, so I compared this to the Mercedes A-class and CLA at the LA Auto Show. BMW and Mercedes were like 100 feet from each other. This new 2-series does not feel anywhere near as quality as the Mercs. Granted, I have not driven them, but so far I’d go for the baby Read more

It really is...but honestly for any more than $60k, I’d rather have a new A6 allroad.

Guess that never occurred to me. I followed this car’s progress during the build so I was already aware of it.

He’s probably just selling it to recoup a bit of money, but mostly to clear garage space.
