I really hate when the response is “this is not who we are”.  Until this point of being called out on their racist behaviour, this is exactly who they are, probably worse.

I hear more and more previous residents of Boston who lives in New York saying that they moved and it was better in New York than it was Boston, it was always the same line, I knew it wasn’t a coincidence of the people who said it, they were people of color.

I am waiting for the inevitable white Bostonian or complicit racist to chime in, there is always one to defend Boston, like it isn’t racist.

I frequented the MFA and was a member. Boston is one of the most racist and segregated cities in the North.

There is no way this is the first time 7th grade black students experienced racism firsthand in Boston. Boston is so racist they’ve invented racism for other kinds of white people.
