The only problem with everything you listed is how it makes perfect sense. But will not happen cause why put in any effort to make shopping a fun experience when it can be stressful for free. Plus what incentive does a retailer have if they know they are getting 100% of the sales anyway.

I’m in the crowd of, thankfully there’s nothing to buy so I don’t have to spend money on impulsive shit.

Even if only 10% take delivery, its still probably a few years worth of truck sales from any luxury EV truck. Never underestimate the Tesla demand. Even if sales in USA start to slump, they just ship them somewhere else for a few months and then continue filling orders here again.

CT had 250,000 preorders with a week of that crazy broken-glass reveal, based on Elon’s tweet. I would start getting used to seeing those weird wedges on the streets in a few years.

Both kinds of products should exist. Those that feel like the future is here, and those that feel familiar. Even when A company makes an EV on an ICE platform, they still give it a grill or something that stands out as obviously not normal, and that’s plenty for some people.

I enjoy how Ford thinks that the competition is making trucks luxury items, when they have the Cybertruck to compete with, and that thing is about as bulletproof and boring looking as you can get from a truck. Sure Rivian is going for luxury, but I think when it comes to sales numbers, CT and the F150 EV are probably

Agreed. Until your car can function without a wheel and you don’t even need to carry insurance, you should never depend on these systems, and I would go further and not even offer them to the public.

I can definitely see how her actual job description can help deflect blame from herself to Uber. I don’t think 100% of the blame can be put on one side alone, and it’s definitely not 0% either. I’m very interested in seeing how this plays out.

I saw him as a bit of a bratty whiner that could drive the wheels off of the car but couldn’t handle things not quite going his way.

I hope you don’t win this bet, but you won a star.

Kotaku I think has used the format pretty well, for big continuing stories like the Epic vs Apple battle, its all in one place.

Can the visors be stored sideways so you get a nice clean view from front to top? (feels like a missed opportunity here)

P/E would be nice, except they are still growing and might not be good to compare with against established companies. I rather just look at Revenue vs Market Cap, which is still laughable. If TSLA goes under $150 a share, I might pick up a few. I don’t see them losing momentum for the next decade as they continue to

YouTube kids stuff and COPA is just crazy right now. Those channels had bot generated content with a stream of buzzwords in the title so stuff would just play on endless loop while commercials would run in the background. Videos with half a billion views and was complete nonsense.

Current gen is good for 4k, next gen will have updated features like ray-tracing, and still do 4k, but also at 120hz. So it makes sense that if you want the same next gen features but at a lower resolution than the current generation of consoles, you dont even need as much performance to get there.

Holy crap so many people seem to be mad at this comment even though its spot on.

I like what Formula E does with groups at a time, but I would also force a car out every minute of the 6 minute window, just to keep it from being all 6 at the last moment. Even FE pulled a Monza qualifying this year with 4 drivers posting no time.

2nd Gear, Honestly, what do people expect?

I wish there was a ‘hype’ or ‘emotional’ metric, some way to track a stock’s value perceived by people vs analysts. If a company were to be bought out by a bigger fish, that would put an end to the question of what they are really worth since a check would be written for what they actually got sold for, but until that

Almost everything you listed requires supply chains and manufacturing, some of them are just at cost and not designed to make a profit, like their Supercharging network. Trying to predict how well they do in 20 years is impossible because they have to first grow 10 fold, then also keep all competition from catching
