I’m disappointed we didn’t see the Palinterview, but at least we got this:

Finally, season two of The Good Place is on Netflix. I’ve been listening to the podcast and really want to revisit the episodes they’re talking about, but only season one is available. (I guess I could go to nbc.com, as Marc Evan Jackson keeps telling us, but you only get a few episodes for free.)

Damn it, I knew that denouement was too good to be true. I kept expecting a reveal where we find out that Camille is still on the floor dying, and everything since then was her fantasy (even the parts that weren’t from her perspective; I’d allow it) like in An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge and Brazil and that one

I came here late, but: I thought all the Dogme 95 films broke rules. A broken rule was a feature, not a bug.

This is something I was in love with last month, but it’s now available for the general public: I Am A Resident, the result of a contest for fans to submit their covers of songs by The Residents. I was following the contest and I was consistently amazed at how good the submissions were. Then The Residents released this

Oh boy, another excuse to use that “blow by blow” pun.

Jake Peralta wouldn’t like these.

Aww, I wanted a drill.

Aww, I wanted a drill.

I find this show really difficult to watch but I force myself through it because it’s so good. Usually I’m relieved when an episode ends but this one ended too soon. I don’t want to wait to find out what happens!

The appropriately named Wilf Scolding didn’t say “more flashbacks”; that was the person who reposted his picture.

“Mr. Musk said he had not had taken time off of more than a week since 2001, when he was bedridden”

I feel like the plural of “man-child” should be “man-children”.

For me the only memorable thing about The Oblongs was that They Might Be Giants did the theme song.

That makes a lot more sense than everyone else wondering why one show Mike Judge made all by himself is different from another show Mike Judge made all by himself.

I watched that show when I was a kid and the only things I remember were the disturbing opening and the fact that there were two cats belonging to the president and vice president (I think the president’s cat was big and scary while the vice president’s cat was a scrawny wimp) who chased the mouse characters around

It’s like they’re saying, “You come at the king, you best not miss.”

Season 1 of The Good Place also did it really well.

I finished watching this after almost everyone else, which means it’s hard to be part of the conversation, but at least I can comment with some unpopular notions without getting dogpiled.

Things I got wrong: Somehow I was under the impression that Kim knew Chuck killed himself and in her fight with Howard she was just acting, to throw him off the scent or something. I think I thought she was becoming a manipulator like Jimmy. Now I realize I was mistaken and she’s not headed in that direction.

Another thing: I don’t think white people were talking about spirit animals 15 years ago, though I could be wrong.
