I watched The Post. In the pantheon of mediocre films, this is one of the greatest. One of the best directors teams up with an amazing cast and they do their best work and the result is still kind of underwhelming. I think it’s because the story just isn’t that interesting; it’s sort of a footnote to the main story.…

I was thinking of Elizabeth’s careful measurements when she was looking through Tuan’s room. Wouldn’t Elizabeth and Philip realize someone was snooping in their house? Guess not.
Poor Marilyn. I always liked her. She never got the appreciation she deserved, but I guess that’s how it goes when you’re working with cold-blooded assassins.
Serena going into June’s room at night and fondling her belly was creepy as hell. It was only slightly different from sexual molestation.
Redditors are set against this theory, pointing out that the tiger from the Raj washes up on the shore in a much later timeline, and that the younger woman has an accent.
I found it a bit curious that 7686 in Switzerland translated to $7,686 USD, but apparently the Swiss franc is worth exactly a dollar.
There was a whole movie inspired by that.

It’s like when people of color complain that white people have all the power, and then they jump at any opportunity to have power themselves! Such hypocrisy!
Despite all the people around here who claim people like me don’t exist, I’ve been a fan of Hari Kondabolu since long before his documentary came out. I also seem to be aware of other people who were fans of his as well!
It’s not like he knew The Simpsons would respond to him around now.
I watched his special and found it very funny.
The woman who shot the tiger is played by Katja Herbers, who I recognize from the show Manhattan. (At least, I recognized her voice; her hair is totally different so it took me a while to realize who it was.) She’s in the main credits now so she’ll surely stick around for a few more episodes.
I took the look on his face to mean the drugs were kicking in.
I love how seamlessly this went from comedy to drama.
Lambo.
I was fine with the other accents (probably because I’d seen the trailers) but couldn’t quite get over how Stalin himself had an English accent. I guess I’m too used to that iconic moustache belonging to a Russian, or rather a Georgian.
Jack White is funnier than I expected.
