Probably not enough will do it to make a difference, but I refuse to give them any more money. I’d have probably bought Diablo II Remastered at some point if they hadn’t been revealed as such a horrible company. Ever since the Hong Kong stuff with Blizzard happened they haven’t gotten any of my money.

I can personally vouch for one situation where the finance manager put in a ton of work and in the process saved my dad from bankruptcy. He’d gotten into a loan on a used Silverado that he couldn’t afford, with payments well past $400 a month. So we went to a couple of different dealerships, seeing if we could trade

They can’t. Police unions have forced* contracts on cities all over the country that make it damn near impossible to fire a cop for anything short of murder that’s held up by a guilty verdict at trial. Even with police departments try to get rid of bad cops like these, they end up having to hire them back and pay them

If the threats were all virtual maaaaybe that take would make some sense, but they’re getting death threats by people that are coming on the premises., or they wouldn’t have camera footage to share with law enforcement. That’s a whole other level of crazy that’s simply indefensible. That’s one small step away from

Your principles are always more important than selling out. Several years back I was running a popular fansite and I had a major science fiction publisher contact me. They wanted to buy the content of the site’s forum. For what I don’t know, but the whole thing felt really off to me. Legally I could have done it, I

The seatbelt was my first thought. The passenger compartment looks to be in pretty good shape, clearly the safety engineering did its job. If she’d had her seatbelt on, she might have gotten out of this with minor injuries, or at least less severe ones.

In general, being a sociopathic asshole helps people get ahead in the business world. The vast majority of the upper levels of management are sociopaths, and they reward their own.

Definitely sounds accurate to me. I have severe depression that’s untreated, because several years back my bowels decided that all antidepressants, even ones I’ve been taking of years, make me unbearably nauseous. (And anti-nausea meds don’t help.)  I pretty much can’t read new books anymore, because not knowing

But some of the others are inexplicable:

It’s still EA’s fault for selecting that company’s product and integrating it. Just because they aren’t running the word censor’s database directly doesn’t absolve them of being responsible for it.

Some people get more enjoyment out of jokes by dissecting them and figuring out how they work. There’s nothing wrong with their doing so as long as it makes them happy. Obviously you don’t enjoy that, so you should avoid it, but no need to criticize those who do enjoy it.

There’s a Chrome extension called Bypass Paywalls you can install that works with Bloomberg just fine. It’s not on Chrome’s extension store, however (I believe that’s because Google won’t allow it), so you have to install it manually from their Github. As long as you get the release of it from Github it’s entirely

Oh yeah, they do. In 2012 the drum corps did a Christmas-themed show and the DVD/Blurays of the finals performances had to cut out portions of their performance’s audio.  Keep in mind they were playing the music themselves, not pre-recorded, and copyright still fucked with the release.  This happens to most of the

It’s the smell left behind after being around it for a long time.  Anyone who’s worked in fast food is familiar with it because your clothes get impregnated with that smell and it doesn’t like to go away.

Mister Mad Mosquito Maestro.

I’ve never heard it, but there weren’t any Asian-Americans of any kind in my high school, so that’s not a surprise. That’s a side-effect of the vast majority of Asian-Americans living in Oak Ridge and Knoxville areas of East Tennessee, so surrounding areas don’t have many if any of them living in them.  (Oak Ridge

To be fair, I wasn’t aware of the racist implications of the saying myself, and I’m sure lots and lots of the people who looked at it in post-production were the same. But I seriously doubt all of them were unaware, so as you say, someone should have spoken up. I’m willing to bet that someone did and that they were

Holy shit, that’s fucking insane. I worked at a Pizza Hut several years ago, and we only had one phone line + no delivery. On Friday & Saturday nights we often had to have four people working the make table + someone handling only cutting/boxing pizzas as they came out of the oven. (One person handled dough, which

Still beats the hell out of that Mobile Legends ad with the guy pretending to be a streamer talking to his audience... using a script obviously written by someone for whom English is not a native language. (I have experience with another game by the same company, so I’m positive they wrote it and ignored any advice

I’m willing to bet part of it is that EVE Online is not a very streaming-friendly game. I’ve heard it referred to as a playable spreadsheet, and I understand that’s a decently accurate summary. If it was more stream-friendly I’ll bet you’d have people attempting that kind of stuff, but I’m also sure CCP would crack
