How does this make sense? All riders pay with card. How would they know if you were paying cash? And if you do this is a huge liability. The driver would technically be uninsured and personally liable for all damages in an accident.

I was viewing their help topic on the issue and it asked for my location. Um, no.

I don’t get it? Are you saying Uber is paying me to write about the one time I used their service?

Uber itself is awesome. That’s why people use it.

sure, these are hypothetical, but they’re based on what internet providers have already done even with some regulation. waiting and hoping is a dangerous move if you’re worried about this issue

i am all for net neutrality...but this is just a big list of IF’s and COULD’s...i mean come on. IF i go outside, a meteorite COULD hit me on the head to...it doesn’t mean it will.

All the Democrats have to do is control the White House and Congress? Easy peasy!

The answer is municipal broadband. My town is currently building its own network, and places like Chattanooga, TN and Lafayette, LA have had their own for years. All it takes is enough citizens to vocalize to their local officials that they are sick and tired of this mickey mouse shit.

This is why some countries have already added “free and unhindered internet” to their national bill of rights. Seemed a bit silly then, but now...

YES THIS IS THE IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY FROM THE ARTICLE “THANK YOU” FOR POSTING THIS

Yes. Easily. So long as the Democrats control the White House and Senate. But I think any price hikes for streaming services, video games, or home internet will be permanent. Price hikes never roll back.

I have a question. If it passes and is put into effect for a year or two and starts to affect real people, can it be repealed in the next administration?

This is flat out theft from citizens of the United States. We have subsidized telecom since it started in the 1800's and these robber barons owe us unhindered service.

Snyder was fired after the prescreening of his initial cut of the film.

Its actually not about my opinion at all.

That may not be completely true. I mean, his daughter’s death was, but it could have been used to let him go while letting him save face.

Snyder’s version was so bad he was fired after the screening for execs.

An unwatchable version that Snyder made? I believe it. We literally had a mainstream movie of his version and it was shit.

Sorry, I meant the early cut of the film. The test screenings were all for the Whedon/Snyder cut, which was two hours; there was a rumor the original three-hour cut (which was mainly Snyder’s stuff) was “unwatchable.” (Which, considering what happened with BVS, I believe.)

There is a third option.
