They are still a little young for that. They have started showing interest in old comics we have around the house. The little one is obsessed with superheroes so when he learns to read he may be a fan of comics.

My sons (3 and 6) like female characters as much as male ones (they adore Wonder Woman and Rey from Star Wars). I’ve already heard random kids making fun of them for playing with “girl toys”. Children have no filter, but it enrages me when their parents overhear and say nothing.
