I love pizza, why is that pizza on a private jet picture so sad?

Is it all trendy to moan about how. GOT sucks now? IDK, I was still entertained last season and am looking forward to this season. Am I too easily pleased?

Don't forget the Lone Ranger and that Peter Pan movie that was in theatres for less than a nanosecond.

I don't know if the doc would be somewhat redundant for a Simone aficionado, but as someone who didn't know much about her, I absolutely loved it.

Right? I mean no matter how pleasant her voice is, Saldana couldn't possibly sing like Nina Simone. Everything about this movie is ass backwards.

It’s the fact that she left the message, like, 20 years after the fact that makes it so crazy.

I’ve talked about this before on Jez, but it was about this case that I got into my first political debate with an adult (my uncle). It culminated with me calling my uncle an idiot. It’s one of my progressive father’s most treasured memories.

I was in my early teens during the testimonies, remember watching and being firmly on the side of Anita Hill. What I didn’t understand or appreciate at the time was the sheer bravery she must have had to face all of those horrible people and be treated with such condescension. I’m glad the movie doesn’t try to tell

I would totally ditch a sick kid on my parents (have fun suckers you have to love them cause they’re related to you). Just hoping my parents or husband don’t get sick. Not worried about myself, I would walk off the bubonic plague for a night out.

I’d be content to drink wine and read a book without anyone bugging me TBH.

You are a good mom, my party throwing game is weak and I know it.

I’m starting to count the days, this time next week Mr.Needlessly Defiant and I are spending the first night away from our kids in TWO YEARS. So please send positive thoughts my way this week that no one gets sick and screws this up for me.

Haayy Margaret, add some wine into the mix and we got ourselves a Friday night!

Uhhhh?

Right? Sometimes there’s a bit of racist backlash on the Internet when a person of colour is cast in a certain role (Star Wars, Idris Elba in Thor) but that doesn't seem to hamper the success of the films. Whitewashing, on the other hand, can tank a movie. From a purely economic standpoint it doesn't make sense.

Is there any hard proof that white people stay away from movies with non-white main characters? Or is it just an assumption made by producers. Because in my own personal experience as a white woman I’ve never avoided a film because the characters didn't share my skin colour.

If she’d added “I was lucky enough to be able to...” before the quote I would have absolutely nothing to say.

Oh, she’s paid her dues, no question. It's the quote I find fault in, not the lady herself.

Especially since the SNL actors currently killing it the hardest are all women!

She said the experience made her decide to refuse all jobs “that didn’t seem as if they would be really fun.”
