That Jessica Lange is one classy lady.

Here, here!

Here, here!

That PA voice haunts me. Seriously though, at last that rule makes some internal sense.

I am so happy for her and her family. Her work is so vital; her resilience gives me all the feels...

No you can’t, all your 3 oz bottles have to fit in one, one-quart-size plastic bag. I know this because I often have to fly out of MSP and they have this voice on the PA telling you to remember the “3-1-1” rule every five minutes...

The incredibly aggravating title belies the charm of this piece. It was a nice ring around the rosies, so to speak...

Cool, thanks! :)

Thanks for the info! I found a Kennedy School article discussing what you brought up - about “secret.” That is a bummer that they didn’t use “without knowledge or consent.” Like, you say, tough balances all around...

Face palming about that teen...

I am sorry if the hon sounded condescending, I meant it to sound friendly. Do you know if any charges have been brought up under the new statute since it was enacted?

They died of dysentery, maybe...

Certainly was drafted quickly or to use another word perhaps, hastily. Do you happen to know where to find a copy of the complete statute?

Well, hon, my comment was a general one comparing two states reactions and considering I’m a commenter and 1) not the person who writes the article for pay, and 2) not at my job right now - I don’t TEND to go into “explain the finer points of criminal justice system” mode when I don’t HAVE to.

Now that we are here

I have this same allergy, I BELIEVE YOU! Platinum also seems to be okay. Nickel is the problem, apparently...

My point though is - they clearly didn’t mean for it be a panacea - they had something narrow in mind, with the strategy of revisiting as appropriate.

Criminal law is often about giving prosecutors tools they can take into the real world, not banning behaviors in a sweeping way...

You have me curious to actually read it, though googling for its text, articles instead of statutes are what comes up. Being in victim services and working for government, I AM inclined to applaud action and not be alarmist about its failings until I know details.

“We will need to revisit this law again and again as technology continues to evolve and ensure that we are providing the necessary protections.”

Sounds like they were conscious about sticking their finger in a hole in the dam and are aware the water might spurt out elsewhere,

Well again, it will be interesting to see how it fleshes out in practice.

I don’t see that as a problem per se - it was meant to fill a specific gap in the law, I’d expect the remedy to be specific. And if they couldn’t convict that one guy, well they are no better off than before... Laws is made from the bench as well as the legislature so it will be interesting to see if another case

I seem to recall Massachusetts handling this shit super quick after their own unfortunate court outcome of an upskirt photog. Like, the high court issued a ruling saying state law did not prohibit such activity on March 6; and on March 7th the Gov signed the new law. Not even exaggerating...
