Maybe I read you wrong? When you say “any disappointment should be on the players who made the assumption”, didn’t you mean that the players are disappointed because they assumed something which turned out not to be true?

Valid way of thinking... until you realize God of War 3 was on the playstation 3. Kind of blows that logic WAYYY out of the water when a console 2 gens back could pull off visuals that rival even the xbox one x version of cyberpunk 2077.

And presenting nothing to do outside the heist is antithetical to the open joy of a GTA game, regardless of what fans were hyping themselves up for.

Honestly, the bugs aren’t as prevalent as you would think. Hackers however? They run rampant. I forgot to go into a closed session in my first time in ages today. Instantly, teleported, trapped, killed. Like, I hadn’t even fully loaded in and I was seeing myself zip all over the map.

You’re missing the point. People are disappointed because they wanted somewhere new to play around and this is a new location they won’t get to play around in. Whether or not there was hype is beside the point. If Rockstar had somehow manage to keep this under wraps and surprised everyone with it, people would have

I agree I am playing on Ultra and the quality is honestly kind of meh. Hair and skin still look terrible

Sweet, sweet, microtransactions

Was really excited to get on the new island and tool around today at lunch. Ended up shutting off the game in disappointment after learning about the required sub purchase and no access to the island whatsoever outside of the heist. This totally sucks.

Why does Rockstar put so much money and effort into developing games that are so clunky and unintuitive?

Does it look amazing on PC though? After seeing it on ultra I can say it is a pretty game and one of, if not the most, technically impressive game I have ever seen, but the visuals don’t blow me away in the way Rise of the Tomb Raider’s opening did, or the farm house scene in The Last of Us 2 did, or the bridge scene

CDPR is trying to make us their bitch.

There’s not a shred of doubt in my mind that they were deliberately not optimizing on last gen in favor of pretty graphics on PC and next gen. They knew that even if 80% of last gen players would ask for a refund, that’d still be 20% more profit that they made through lies and deceit than by being honest.

Fuck them.

Cyberpunk 2077? Seems more like Daikatana 2077, am I right?

Yep, it’s why I said goodbye to IGN several years ago. I still follow my favorite people (Greg Miller, Brian, Altano, Naomi Kyle, etc.) on Twitter but I can’t bring myself to actually go to the site because the comment section makes me lose all hope in humanity.

Using “SJW” or “virtue signaling” in an un-ironic fashion signals to me someone doesn’t have the mental faculties needed for a healthy conversation.

Not black, but also a game developer. It’s completely true. Completely toxic attitudes and culture. I once tried to bring notice to the issues years back with regards to edgelord language being used in work chats. Ended up ostracized and eventually let go.
Everyplace else has been better since, but only marginally. I

Yeah dude. Once somebody even says SJW I realize that the convo is worthless.

Despite this experience, Zinda continues to stream and still thinks of the gaming industry as being a good and transformative place for her and others.
