We're not getting another single player Fallout for years. They still need to release Starfield and TES VI before we see Fallout 5. If there was anything before that then I'd be really surprised.

You can completely ignore other players and just run around the world exploring and you’ll level up fairly organically. The live “events” are good sources of materials and XP though some of them require other players to finish, and some don’t.
That said my biggest gripe is still the storage constraints. They still…
Every now and then I feel like I have to pop my head up and say that I was one of the people that did enjoy F76 at launch and for the few months after that I played it. I’m aware I’m in the minority, at least among people that comment on F76 articles online, but I just wanted to say I’m sorry you didn’t get the…
I bought it on sale and I’m having an immersive single player experience right now. Haven’t been attacked by another player once in about 20 hours of gaming. Happened upon a couple of really nice camps they created though, which felt at least as fun as scripted surprises you encounter in the single-player games. Deep,…
Letting other people sign into your PS5, then doing nothing and signing back out, then signing back into their own PS4 and immediately downloading games they should not have access to use ... it doesn’t take Sherlock level deduction to see what is going on. These people weren’t being subtle.
Of course they do, but I haven’t heard of cases where they did not fix them, except from the pleas of people you know there was more to the story than they were telling. I was doing nothing wrong, honest! I’m not a fan of deferring control to large corporations, but I do know they like money. And banning paying…
Well, I’ll wait until someone is actually banned for something oppressive before I get upset about it. In this case people are trying to get games they are not entitled to for free through devious means. The ban is justified. Not everything leads to the Nazis Holocaust, or is a slippery slope.
Except where you’re logging in specifically to receive stolen goods.
Letting someone fraudulently gain access to the games would be fraud, and it’s explicitly defined under the criminal code for fraud.
This is always the kind of thing that scares me. Not being banned for selling something like that — it seems like a stupid idea no matter which way you look at it. But the amount of control these companies have over your games is ridiculous, and you never quite know when you’re doing something you may get banned…
I used to read that old “Why was I banned” site and some of the stories were insane at how people were dumb enough to think they were not courting the banhammer.
Now, I’m right there with you as far as the concerning amount of control companies have over products we already bought and paid for... But I think most of us have a pretty good idea where the line is drawn, and when we’re crossing it. I mean, come on. 😏
If they only did this for a person or two, they’d probably get away with it. Selling it, and then doing it extensively around a console launch is just a dumbass idea though.
How is that showing any kind of bias? Seems objectively spot on to me.
You realize that there’s a difference between a one time product purchase and the games as a service model, right? Yes, Fallout 1 and 2 were sold for a profit, they didn’t have in-game microtransactions that constantly reminded the playerbase to be buying their stuff.
Because without that, they lose half their script they use to preach about the horrors of the game/Bethesda.
It’s really hard to back up a claim of financial exploitation when it’s all 100%, completely, utterly optional and unnecessary. Especially when it’s not really hard to earn the currency you need to buy the stuff in-game.
Isn’t that a bit hypocritical? I thought you hated Bethesda.
Oh i agree. Guildwars has plenty. None of it is game breaking like locking out the crafting bag though. Hell, ESO made the Theives guild a seperate DLC. Everytime I play, I want to just install SKyrim and be done with it, but my wife has been enjoying it, so we keep playing.
