Look, outside of the 360 era (where Microsoft benefited from Sonys poor HW design), Microsoft has lost *every* generation by a 2:1 margin or more. By keeping their exclusives from formerly third party studios locked to their HW, they are cutting their potential profits by a third.

Ever notice how the Xbox looks a bit like a coffin?

That I agree with. But Xbox has struggled with messaging for a while now. They've egged on and supported these armies constantly and now it's biting them back.

I think they’re basically mad because they picked a console and now it seems like they picked wrong. Had they gotten playstations they’d have access to more games with seemingly no downsides.

The fans are being stupid but I remember this level of stupidity during Sega’s final years as well.

TwitBox.

I hope Elon Musk buys the X-Box brand and names it Twitter.

Sony’s controllers have so far added:

I would suggest clarifying that not having an open mind is inherently toxic. Fandom of something to the exclusion of others is toxic. Works in all realms of thought. Sports, politics, brand loyalty etc.

no there’s a big difference between liking something and being a fan of something.

Its wild to me because I definitely bought into the Playstation vs XBox console wars when I was like, 17. But that was almost 20 years ago, the idea of building my identity around what box I play games on is just not a way to live your life.

Not everybody has money to buy all the consoles, but like, I generally prefer P

Nah, fandom is a neutral thing. All it means is that you like something.

I mean, hasn’t Xbox always been kind of curiosity? Like it was surprising when MS launched the original one, and there have been several points where people openly wondered if they would keep at it as a console hardware manufacturer when they have all these other businesses that print money and dwarf Xbox

“I was wrong all of this time, Xbox doesn’t care about us, Microsoft doesn’t care about us. We’ve been fighting this war for nothing.”

Some people love to argue over where analogue sticks belong on a controller as if it really matters that much. Then others love to argue that devices literally designed for text entry and GUI navigation are somehow well suited for playing games with.

It makes sense when you realise some people hold the sticks with the knuckles rather than the tips of their thumbs. For them, the sticks are effectively much closer together.

Yeah, underwhelming is basically the one word review for Starfield. It’s still fun to romp around in a Bethesda style RPG, and I genuinely dig the style (also, it’s nice to have a sci-fi game once in a while that has a ‘Foundation’ type universe without a focus on sentient, bi-pedal aliens), but it’s far from the

i also like offset sticks, but the dualsense has nailed it. you should give it a try if you haven’t yet. i’ve been playing games for three decades and it by far the easiest long-play controller i’ve owned.

It’s interesting, objectively I agree that the stick placement is much better on the Xbox controller but I find myself preferring the overall feel of the DualSense and the stick placement doesn’t really have a practical effect on comfort or gameplay for me. I’ve only played a few games on both Series X and PS5 so it’s

I play my Xbox games on my PC and my PS games on my PS5, like a proper gentleperson.
