The first time I played this game was in a Gamescom demo in 2014. At that point, the cloud-enabled destructibility was also planned for the single-player.

Of the current gen, sure. But the best backwards compatible console of all time has to be the OG PS3... Which could play the entire library of PlayStation games day one (PS1, PS2, and PS3).

At least not for most gamers.

At this point, Xbox One has been around for, what, 5 years? More?

Realistically it doesn’t matter what their competitor is doing. They are being outsold, no argument; but calling it a failure is completely misinformed and highly inaccurate. The Xbox brand is a big reason why Microsoft just overtook Apple as the largest company in the world. They are still making billions on Xbox.

Didn’t Microsoft kill live TV on XBox One this year or something like that? I have faint memories of something happening this year that people people were joking about.

That’s an uh... interesting take. At the end of the day, their competitor is still outselling them by a huge margin, and they were rightly pilloried for their initial approach to used games. They’re still making money, but no one in this business wants to be the perennial runner-up.

I feel like this gave MS a pass on some of the OS/UI issues and what a mess the store can be. These are old problems, but it feels like MS has just given up on trying to address them despite having some serious flaws.

I don’t know that’s actually true, though. I mean there’s some differences in available titles and the Xbox's BC not being tied to a service, but PS Plus and PS Now seem to compare favorably with XBL Gold and Xbox Game Pass.

Question: Because I can’t think of one in recent years has MS had a goty contender since the release of the xb1?

Sometimes I feel like a guy who’s broke trying to rationalize why having money actually sucks when I defend my choice of Xbox One instead of PS4 (I actually also own the latter, but game almost exclusively on my XB1) - still some ugly feelings left over from the Great Console Troll wars of 2013-14.

I got an xbone during black Friday. I pretty much only wanted to play Halo and Forza. Outside of those games, there aren't really any exclusives that make the system seem worth it. Sony is destroying them in good exclusives. Horizon, God of War, uncharted... It's kinda crazy how many good franchises are only

The Xbox One is such a bizarre console. After getting out everything they had planned when they announced it, they basically left an almost empty shell masquerading as a games console. Half-hearted and vain attempts to repair it since have been equivalent to jabbing a corpse with a cattle prod. Such a failure in

Fun fact: Microsoft sent me the adaptive controller, along with a foot pedal.

I am paralyzed from the chest down.

She was rude to him, and numerous others, during this mess. Now, of course, between her and the crap going on from the usual suspects online yeah obviously she’s a going to come out on top.

“A major thing people seem to misunderstand is that Price is not speaking in an official capacity for the company while on Twitter.”

I understand that, but if I started insulting customers of the company I work for in a place that brands me with with a neon sign overhead that says “member of [that company]” (at the

No, this is by no means an “impossible” standard. In fact, as others have said, ArenaNet had already set the standard: do not mistreat fans. The same as any respectable company would.

The problem is that you and your colleague Grayson actually seem to have no knowledge of the context at all. Deroir is an ArenaNet

The original comment is just one of many reasons people started this. It’s really unfortunate that the author doesn’t mention any of these and seems a little biased in my opinion.

That’s vague and doesn’t at all touch on their history with the company.

Oh please, she handled the situation POORLY. Instead of taking the criticism and addressing it she took it as a personal attack. “No, not in my space” What the hell does that mean. A customer had another view and she clapped back and allowed this situation to get out of hand.
