Jalop has been pushing EV’s as hard as the rest of them. The commentariat as well, with what seems very few readers replying with “Hold up a minute” on EV’s. But even Jalopnik can’t ignore what’s happening with the market.

Just in case, invest in a bottle of Frank’s. You can put that s$%t on everything.
In 2050 I think I’d still be very happy in my Ineos Grenadier as you passed me in your Porsche. ( I don’t have an Ineos, but I need one).
I hope this article is just a form of trolling and satire.
The front is so inoffensively anonymous that it’s offensive. This is not a real car - it’s a generic mockup from some insurance ad.
How about the great Mosquito motorcycle?
The hell did you just post? What is this chupacabra?
Torch is that you? 0:10 by the black little car.
That’s what I thought too! I always assumed it was a late 50's concept from the jet age, but the internets seem to have a consensus that it’s a ‘69
I always come back to the vastly underrated Buick Century Cruiser. A 1969 concept car that implied a scifi future.
You missed it because it looks like a fake car in a nonautomotive commercial. Your eyes just glazed over it.
Very apt visual for that rear quarter. Now that’s all I see.
Why the hell are you giving them ideas???
I don’t think a lot of people would go for it. Might be a perfectly capable truck, but Mitsubishi does not have the reputation to support a successful truck in the US. Would probably end up like Nissan’s full size truck attempt. For most people, the rhetorical question would be...
Excellent lesson as long as you buy a reliable vehicle. Do it with a Ford/GM/Nissan whatever, and the eventual maintenance costs will eat any savings from zero car payments. Any company with suspect long term transmissions, for example, is an almost guaranteed $6000 cost in your future.
I should have been a bit more specific in my reply. THIS was what I was imagining while writing:
Looks mighty fine! And still has plenty of clearance.
Let’s stance/lower a car, removing most of the utility of the vehicle... and now every pebble is a road hazard. Every speed bump is an impassable barrier.
Heh. One of those lovely questions EVERYONE has considered.
I’m sorry, but no. This qualifies as one of the uglier vehicles on the planet.
