In the 80s/90s, Ford had a pretty strong wagon game. Escort. Taurus. Country Squire. But, one sedan that didn’t get the wagon treatment was the Tempo and Topaz. I loved my 1992 Tempo GLS sedan, althought I wish it had been available in a wagon form. Throw in the 3.0L Vulcan V6 and a 5-spd manual, would have been a fun

In 1993, Ford switched to cast hypereutectic pistons for all 302 cu in (4.9 L) engines and also re-rated the GT to 205 hp (153 kW) and 275 ft⋅lbf (373 N⋅m) of torque. This estimate was more accurate given the previous power ratings were made before the addition of the mass airflow system, minor revisions in the

The capsule and service module are only 15' in diameter. The Shuttle’s cargo bay can accept cylindrical payloads up to 15' in diameter. Just put it in the back of the Shuttle and bring it back down.... oh wait.

According to CarFax, the VIN (3FAFP31381R148016) comes back as a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3.  The listing states that it was originally painted Infra-Red.

I thought it could pass for an early styling buck of the 1st gen Ford Focus.  Kinda like a meet in the middle between the 96-99 Escort and the 00+Focus.

Base price for a Taurus LX wagon in 1989 is reported to be $16,950. That’s $42,995 in todays dollars.

Some rare Mercedes, like the 560 SEC Widebody.

Running the front plate through Carfax.com, reveals that this is a 1987 Cimarron.  The paper plate on the back indicates that this car was just purchased (probably from the dealership advertised by the license plate frame) within the last couple of months.  The epxiration on the paper plate is September, which I think

All of the press photos are showing the optional 20" wheels on them.  Those 18" are going to look hilariously small.

Yup, there are a bunch running around in San Diego... and most of them are wrapped.  I’ve seen matte brown, matte blue, gloss maroon.  There is still a bare one running around my neighborhood north of SDSU.  It was the first one I saw earlier this year.  Still see it about once a week, and still bare.

Good point about the Hornet.  I’ve seen a grand total of 4 of them since they came out.  I’ve seen more Supras than I have Hornets.

I think that if we do get a midsize truck from Ram, it will more than likely be the Ram Rampage from Brazil than the Ram 700 you pictured. The Rampage is roughly the same size as the Ford Maverick, with the 700 being over 20" shorter than the Rampage/Maverick.

I think I read somewhere that they would be launching with the NACS plug as well.  They would be crazy to not.

I’m right there with both of you. I am really interested in the Charger BEV, but the pricing is pretty far up there from what I was expecting. I know that Launch Editions are fully loaded, and the power level of the R/T exceeds that of my 6.4L 300C.

I don’t mind the rear.  For me, it’s the headlights.  I think they could and should be so much better.

That was the first thing that jumped out at me when watching the video.

Agreed with you on the PHEV. The Escape already has it in the platform. 37 miles of EV range. That is perfection. But, given that Ford slow rolled out the HEV AWD.... give it a few years (maybe next generation or another refresh) and then they will have the PHEV to get everyone all excited about.

I’m kinda with you on this one.  After spending a little time in a PHEV Wrangler 4xe, I do like the PHEV drivetrain.  I think modern ones need to come out with a little bit more range (say around 50-75 miles of EV range).

I’ve had a 2023 Wrangler 4xe for the past few weeks as a loaner. When it was provided to me, the average MPG was just a hair under 20 mpg. I dont have a charger at home, this is my first experience with a PHEV. I just use the basic 110V charger that was in the back of the Jeep. Anytime it is in the driveway, it is

Hmm..i’m not sure about that... or maybe I’m in the minority. I’ve had a loaner Jeep Wrangler 4xe while my 300 is waiting for a warranty replacement part. I plug the thing in every single time I come home. That habit took all of 5 minutes to form.
