This is the reason, especially among car enthusiasts, is why the 2nd gen US Focus gets such hate.  Outside of the US, this was the second generation Focus.  New platform (C1) compared to the US just using the same restyled C170 platform.  The US finally got the good small car from Ford Europe for a few years, only to

All three are pretty substantial land yachts of convertibles. I think you are right on the first. The second is clearly the 1959 Caddy. I think the 3rd is the last of the land yachts, the 1977 Eldorado convertible.

The Turbo 2.3L in the 1979 Mustang Pace car did not come FROM a Mustang SVO. The Turbo 2.3L was a carbureted non-intercooled engine that was available as an option on the 1979 Ford Mustang and was standard on the 1979 Ford Mustang with the Cobra package.

I also liked how the Eagle Premier’s looked, especially in the monochromatic white like what you posted.  A friend’s mom had one when I was in HS, and I thought they looked really good.  You are right, very Audi 5000 vibes to it.

I nominate the original Acura NSX

The thing with the Magnums, especially the SRT8s, is that compared to all the other SRT LX cars it is one of the rarest. Something like 3500 of them were built, and a good number of those are off the road. This is a case where rare does equal higher price tags compared to other Magnums and other SRT8s of this

The only factory stick shift LX Hemi car was the Challenger.  Behind the 6.1 in 2008, and the 5.7L 2009+.  The stick shift came out after the Magnum went out of production.

Rebuilding a carburetor. I was replacing one of the jets, I accidentally dropped the jet, it went down the carburetor, rolled along the manifold, and went into the head. I was f*cked. I just learned the hard way that you gotta remove the carburetor first, right?

In the US, this is likely the replacement for the Renegade that will be all electric that’s been in the news the last few days.

I half expect at some point, Musk is gonna rename Tesla to CarX.  He already has SpaceX, he renamed Twitter to X... makes just as much sense to now have CarX.

A TikTok-er I follow just mentioned this the other day. He also reported that he could only think of two vehicles in which the old-style switches were swapped out for the newer ones in 2010 in the middle of a design cycle. One was the Lincoln Town Car.

My parents bought a 98 Ram 1500 brand new.  It was their daily driver until last year, when it was t-boned in an intersection and totalled.  It had something like 475K miles on it.  The transmission was eventually rebuilt aroudn 350K, and the engine rebuilt around 395K.  There were a few cracks in the dash, and the

Right!?!?  And, why the hell did the airbag go off while he was still driving?

So agree with this. There definitely needs to be more and continued education and re-evaluation of your driving skills. In CA, renewing your license just takes submitting the form. Like the proposed tiered system for the speed warning, I think there should be a tiered system for license renewal.

My 1992 Tempo GLS with the 3.0L Vulcan V6/5-spd manual transmission.

Those plastic lower intakes weren’t just on the Mustang. They were on every 4.6L up until about mid-2001 when they switched over to the aluminum crossover pipe to solve the problem (but still retained the plastic lower intake).

Chrysler’s purchase of Lamborghini seemed to give both companies the boost they needed at the time. On Chrysler’s side, there were futuristic concept cars like the Chrysler Portofino with its four upward opening doors and the Eagle Optima. Lamborghini got the engineering and finances it needed to create the Countach

I had a PT Cruiser as a rental once. It was one of the worst driving vehicles I’ve ever been in. I equated it to like “driving a barstool”.

Yeah, it was featured on Cars&Bids a while back. https://carsandbids.com/auctions/K1xRM4pd/2003-lincoln-town-car-executive

Star for the Gone in 60 Seconds reference (even if it was from the questionable remake)
