There’s also an FX4 off-road package for the Lariat trim worth $800, but you can’t have both that and the Luxury package.

Hmm... I actually think that they hybrid will be a pretty decent seller of a trucklet.  I was chatting with my husband about the specs of this vehicle, and where it fits in the Ford lineup.  This is going to be a first car for a lot of teenage/early college age kids.  Most of them aren’t going to be too concerned

That lower center of gravity is gonna make it more difficult for this:

From what I read, the tailgate has a stop on it to allow it to open to where the edge of it is at the same height as the wheel wells, that way the 4x8 sheets are flat from the top of the wheel well to the top of the tailgate in the partially opened state.

The requirement for the 85 mph speedometer actually didn’t last very long. It came about a few years after the national 55mph speed limit and lasted into the early part of the Reagan administration. Most manufacturers just kept the 85 mph speedos until the cars were redesigned.

There have been photos out showing the camo’d Maverick next to the current Ranger, and shows a significant size difference in height and width.  If you’ve been next to the new Bronco Sport in traffic, add some extra length for the bed and that’s what size it will be.

Shelby did something similar with the 1986 and 1987 Shelby GLHS models. The base cars (Omni/Charger) only had an 85 MPH speedo. Instead of creating a new speedo, they just added a little sticker at the bottom of the speedo that continued around to 135 mph.

I daily a 4200#, 6.1L 425 HP station wagon.  Nope.

Yes, the sheer joy of taking delivery.  When my 2001 Bullitt (with 187K miles on it) arrived on the shipping truck, I took video of it being unloaded to share with my brother (who I bought the car from).

Here’s a photo of the owners manual and our scribbles of the milestone mileages.

I wish I did.  In 2011 I had trouble getting it to pass smog and also was having to cut back on some things (life got in the way), so I had to make the decision to let her go.  I wish I could have/would have kept her.

My parents bought a 1977 Dodge Aspen station wagon new in June 0f 1977. The big milestones were written inside the owners manual. 100,000 in September of 1981. 200,000 in July of 1987. 300,000 in December of 1997.

I do love at the :30 mark, when she says “to take the legendary....”, she looks right at the black 2nd Gen Lightning.

As nice as it is, that’s a no go on the price.

Our 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie EcoDiesel. We bought it Certified Pre-Owned (thankfully) with right around 20K miles on it. When it was traded in by the previous owner, it was in the middle of an engine replacement. Then it was Certified and put up for sale. The engine replacement should have been a red flag, but we gambled

Yeah, that’s bullshit. Several years ago I was looking at a a new Dodge Charger R/T. I live in San Diego, and I found a great advertised price on one at a dealership in the Phoenix area. I emailed the dealership through their website and asked two questions... does the car have 50 state emissions (must be for me to

Another Holy Grail MTX Ford is the 1992 Tempo GLS. It also had the Vulcan V6 and could be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (the MTX-IV out of the SHO). Here is the one I owned back in the early 2000s.

Even the Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare went with rectangular headlights for the 1980 year model... for one year only.

Nope.  While the 1st gen NA Escort and the Tempo/Topaz shared the same engine compartment/front structure, the engines were different.  The Escort had an OHC engine and was of a much newer design.  The Tempo/Topaz had a 2.3L cam-in-block engine.  This engine was essential the same inline 6 that dated back to the

For me, it was the 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. I just loved how it looked. Those extra lights inboard. The monochromatic look, with the color matched wheels. It was reported on everywhere, and was the Motor Trend Car of the Year. I was around 10 when they came out, and I got all excited when I would see one on the
