2003-2008 was the run of Dane; I had an ex-gf of mine go to a show of his at the TD Garden in 2007 that sold out. He also had an HBO reality pilot around that time.

Many women in the Boston area loved this guy when he blew up in the mid-2000s. I dunno if they just found him cute or maybe they liked his jokes about having an ichy asshole (which he stole); but he was selling out the TD Garden back then and I would say the majority of his fans were women.

Dane was blowing up in 2007. He was one of the first comedians to gain popularity and stardom because of social media marketing (especially MySpace; remember that site?).
