Marvel movies, which is shorthand for “all these goddamn stupid childish superhero movies” are drivel. None of them can hold a candle to something Ken Loach filmed on his phone. I look forward to a bunch of people telling me they are actually good because a. they make loads of money and b. they enjoy them.

Literally nobody outside of places where you can easily get hemp milk cares about the label “Democratic Socialist.” They have a terrible electoral record.

He doesn’t just make mobster movies. He isn’t the most original director out there or my personal favorite but he has made several iconic films and his output is a thousand times better than that Marvel crap. 

And nothing of value will have been lost. It’s a shame because these are interesting times and a women-centered news and culture site would be invaluable. But they’ve gone full Bernie. 

Because she’s a patriot. Because she’s a brilliant former FLOTUS and Secretary of State with something to say. Because she can and should. Because she is right. And mostly to piss off a bunch of Bernie man babies.

Yes because “Casino” and “Hugo” and “The Age of Innocence” and “The Aviator” and “New York, New York” all have so much in common.
