Of course. He still has some misogyny in him, despite having lived with me for a quarter-century. For a dude who is otherwise lots more woke than other white dudes of his age and station, he still has a ways to go.

Is the conservative media’s narrative successful?

Oh for fuck’s sake. Did you want the waiter and the kitchen staff to come out and set themselves on fire in front of you as penance?

Then feel free to donate to those more worthy causes. Your money, your choice. In this case, I feel like I am fighting for my right to be seen as FULLY HUMAN, with 100% control over what does or does not happen to my body. Alabama and Ohio and Georgia and the rest are actively fighting to make women LESS THAN HUMAN

Wegmans ketchup is the best one you can buy in a store for all-purpose ketchuping. Heinz is too sweet, and what are you even doing if you’re messing with Hunts or [god forbid] Red Gold? Examine your life choices, man. You don’t live near a Wegmans, you say? That’s your own fault.

So it’s not a permanent change? Then who cares? I mean, who cares anyway but if it’s limited time, then it’s just marketing not a complete rejection of everything that is terrible and bad in chocolate to placate The Kids These Days.

Ehhhhhh if a person is the type to actually do the Tide Pod “challenge” and that person is willing to drink RoundUp, I’m not going to put any barriers in that person’s way. One fewer idiot in the world is only a good thing.

I wonder what the implications are for someone like me, who is an ADHD kid and so caffeine doesn’t affect me the same way it does others. I don’t get the jitters or racing heart or anxiety or any of that. Since most ADHD medications are stimulants, it stands to reason that caffeine would have a similar effect on my

Tofu?

This is the correct answer. Chicken thighs are a tiny bit higher in fat, but that is more than offset by the fact that they tend to taste like something. Plus, the texture is just better - there is nothing worse than dry chicken breast. You might as well chew on pencil shavings.

Thank you for laying this out in a way that is easily understood! I have walked many novice brewers through the process and lots of them are like “oh, I didn’t check the gravity before I pitched the yeast, it didn’t seem important” and then they’d wonder why they didn’t get a good result.

Yeah, I kind of didn’t get it, either. There’s excellent wine everywhere, why are people drinking these gaudy orange things? They were a nice way to ease into the drinking day. A spritz or three with lunch, then some walking around looking at old historical shit and art, then a gallon of wine with dinner. It balances

Yes! One place in Venice, we were chatting with the owner and he brought us... a bowl of cheese. They were all the cuts and ends of things that didn’t look nice enough for the antipasto platter so he just plonked it down in front of us and let us go for it. Italy is amazing.

We always hit up grocery stores, too! Usually because that’s how we get snacks for walking around and hotel/train time but also because grocery stores are super-interesting if you’re looking to see how the regular people do their thing!

Maybe not ‘historic’ but that drink is EVERYDAMNWHERE now, so perhaps in 20 years people will look back all “remember when we drank Aperol spritzes all the time?”

I drank my way through Germany, too. It’s not a humblebrag, because I don’t do humble, ever.

Math is too hard when you’re drinking so we put everything on the credit card and let the magic computer machine do all the hard part.

I just spent a week drinking my way through Italy and you cannot escape the Aperol spritz. It’s literally everywhere at all times of the day or night. And it’s fine. I wouldn’t go out of my way and say it’s delicious, but for sitting at a sidewalk table at a cafe, watching people go by? It’s perfect. The best one I

Sam Adams is my fridge beer. There is almost always a couple of those hanging out. In the summer I like their Cherry Wheat, because it’s one of the VERY few beers that incorporates cherries and doesn’t taste like cough syrup. Delightful!

This has been all over my feeds all day and it’s really interesting to see how it’s being reported in the beer press vs straight business press. Beer press is bending over backwards to stress that “it’s a merger” whereas straight business press says “Boston Beer Co bought Dogfish Head.” The words being used and who’s
