You are correct on that second one. I’m in NJ, about 5 miles from Bedminster, and there are already people organizing themselves to shoot this thing down. We’ll see how that goes. I’m not sure if I’m going to go anywhere near this thing because it’s likely going to be an ugly scene.

Soooooooooo What’s-His-Name and I have been considering picking up and moving to NYC from the ‘burbs because he works in Brooklyn and the commute is irritating. But WeePiglet is happily enmeshed in the school here and won’t graduate until 2024, so we have reluctantly decided to stay put for the next little while. This

Hahaha What’s-His-Name always says that when I start going off on the creatively-named. He’s always saying I should be mad at the parents, not the person.

What in the over-punctuated hell is the name “Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters?”

She’s a Cool Girl (TM). Just one of the guys!

I have been known to write ‘em down on a piece of paper to enter later. I don’t really use Untappd for anything other than badges (love ‘em) and “hey have I had this beer before?”

I hit my limit with the one that did a mango s’mores stout. So much of that was just OH HELL NO for me, I screamed out loud when I saw it. Just... no. Those things do not go together, at all, ever.

This is sofa king booooooring. If you have a lot of money to spend, make that shit interesting, you guys!

London is my favorite city in the whole wide world, and this just reinforces that love a thousandfold. Good lookin’ out, Londoners!

My IP doesn’t have the yogurt setting but I’ve made it in the sous vide. Haven’t tried the slow cooker, but this seems easy enough.

Love you, but no.

Because barleywines are usually really high ABV, the pours are smaller. Sometimes that’s the law, that a bar can only serve you so much of a beer over a certain ABV. In NJ, the cutoff is usually 6.5%, and then the glasses get smaller.

What’s-His-Name and I were out a couple of weeks ago and I asked for the beer list because it was 20 taps over 5 stations scattered around the bar. The server was all “it’s on the back of the menu.” Okay, then. Would have been nice if anything listed on the back of the menu was actually being served but... no. I

CO-SIGNED 100%.

Congratulations!!! If your utility company offers some kind of worry-free situation (you pay a monthly fee that is basically insurance on your appliances) DO IT. Especially if anything in your house is over 10 years old. We pay about $40/month and that covers everything from the furnace to the microwave. And since

Sending Care Bear Stares for a quick and speedy recovery!!

I own this and can confirm that it is beyond worth it. All my devices from one remote and I can use the app if someone falls asleep with the remote in hand, TV tuned to something terrible. It’s an excellent product.

Came here to say this. We used to keep lemons on hand at the cafe in Borders just for one guy who came in every afternoon for his espresso with a strip of lemon.

I looked through that list, thinking one or two names would jump out as “yeah, probably him” but there are at least 10 who fit the vague description she gave and... ugh.
