People recall the lies more clearly. They forget that roughly 1000 meals a year did not contain poison, that the thousand gallons of gasoline they bought last year did not cause their car engine to rust or explode, that the aspirin contained aspirin like it said on the bottle, that children’s pajamas don’t set…

I mean, I get it. It’s hard to say “I know you’ve been lied to before a thousand times but now we are telling you the truth!”
