That’s a fair point. $60 for a mixer is a deal even if it only lasts a couple years or so under regular use.

They definitely don’t make em like they used to. My KitchenAid belonged to my great-grandmother; I should really check out the serial number and see when it was made. I’ve used friends’ and family members’ newer models…

OFF TOPIC: If you have to plug a 6-outlet converter into a 2-outlet socket, you need to redo your kitchen wiring. We redid ours using several quad outlets. One of the quads has quad USB outlets for charging phones.
