Fuck Maurice
Top Men.
I cannot imagine a one piece cast front floor pan assembly is going to make collisions cheap to fix, like, it sounds like an absolute guarantee that any minor collision is going to total the car. Am I missing something?
With the regular turnover at Tesla, I can’t imagine what kind of Bench Strength they are developing. Even odder when you cut the staff that was un-paid interns rather than identify potential hires.
You mean another of Musk’s late night rant doesn’t come to fruition again.
For over a year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has touted Tesla’s “significant bench depth” of 16 executives meant to quell concerns that the automakers was some sort of one-man show with Musk.
There is only one person Tesla needs to fire, and it is the lying liar who keeps on lying, right at the top.
And, to the degree that raising those taxes and then spending that money is done by the federal government, it’s done by the Congress, beginning with the House of Representatives, not by “the administration.” There’s a guy running for president who spent a few years telling his supporters what money he had “given” to…
Good that it failed.
His son took over the restaurants after he died and has been doing his best to remove any trace of the racism without publicly denouncing his father as a white supremacist. It hasn’t worked that well. Their customers are pretty much all old and their numbers are shrinking. Never seen anyone below middle age go there…
You know, with Elon, the more I learn about the guy, the more I don’t like him. (paraphrasing Norm MacDonald)
They’re going to have to do what gas stations did when fuel margins started compressing 20 years ago - get people inside a convenience store. Gas stations make about $0.04/gallon profit, so a 20-gallon fill-up is worth less than a dollar to the station. That 20-ounce Coke though? 100% markup.
There’s another article on this site about a dude who was sleeping in his car so he could put in more hours at Tesla and he got laid off. If that dude isn’t hardcore enough, I don’t think it’s a matter of how hard you’re willing to work, but more a matter of… does your visa require you to have a job or be kicked out…
OK, soooo... The last big infrastructure bill went big on “y’all have toe build more chargers that work as easily as gas stations, and here’s a boat load of cash to make it happen- go.”
The supercharger team cuts are quite frankly baffling, but we shouldn’t gloss over the “new vehicle” team cuts either. Tesla already has an aging line up. A lot of the current valuation is tied up in new products launching (“cheaper” mass produced Cybertrucks, the “cold rocket thruster” Roadster, the “yes we will/no…
“Hopefully these actions are making it clear that we need to be absolutely hard core about headcount and cost reduction,” Musk wrote in the email, the report said. “While some on exec staff are taking this seriously, most are not yet doing so.”
Step one: Spend a lot of resources to develop cyber truck.
