In the back of my closet, I found an old box full of 5.25 floppies. I thought I had an old drive laying around; but it must have gone by the wayside a couple moves ago. My old HTPC has an FDD connector on the motherboard, but finding a working 5.25 drive on a budget is well-nigh impossible.

One of my home’s previous owners spent the money to run coax into every room. I took advantage of that, using a pair of MoCA modems to move my router from the entry point (under the stairs) to the living room. Wifi access was much improved; I can also use the wired ethernet ports now to support the HTPC and gaming PC.

I also ordered the 64GB model, after (a) hearing that the SD card’s read speed was just fine, and (2) seeing everybody and their brother talking about how they were going to order the 512GB versions.  Got it a while ago, and I’m just flat-out loving it.
