TRUE STORY - I have on more than one occasion carved the cork out and then macguyvered a strain or filter to catch the cork bits. haha this always happened while camping, and it worked but there was always a little bit of sand or ash from the campfire in there somehow. probably from my filter. but whatever.

they used to be a pretty ok company. I’ve always tried to shop locally or US made goods, or buy second hand so it felt good to know that they were not just importing everything and assembling it here like a lot of other companies do. I wish there were more options like that available.

They used to source everything from US companies. Even down to the zippers and buttons. When I worked there the only thing that wasn’t US made was the plastic strap on their earmuffs. But the rest was US made and they were put together in the warehouse in LA. Not sure about how it is now...

I believe it. I worked at the store in mormon capital USA. and people would always call our store and complain about the ads. When we tried to get them to use different pictures we would either hear nothing, or we would hear “thats just our brand. if they don’t like it they don’t have to shop here.” oh, ok.

they did take employee suggestions pretty seriously. I did like that about my time working there. there was a whole entire list of other bullshit though. And Dov was scary and crazy on those calls sometimes. I hated conference calls. I hated not knowing if he was going to scream at us every week or fire my backstock…
