“Shoot, I’m out of work.”
“Shoot, I’m out of work.”
That might have been the best take of any character on Smallville. While I like Lex and thought Lionel was even better, Jonathan Kent character in Smallville was spot on.
Almost as if the director was super into Randian objectivist wankery and treated us all to tedious “why must the strong sacrifice for the weak?” debates in a sad attempt to be deep.
Gunn said on twitter that it’s not an origin story. They’re obviously rebooting the entire DC movie universe so it makes sense to start over with a new cast of younger actors.
Nah mate, The Flash’s Michael Keat.
It is really hard to watch him be really charismatic as a spy in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and then see the DC movies just waste that talent by having a dour Superman who can’t be heroic because the script doesn’t want him to be.
Just look at Michael Keaton
I’d still give it an... oh... 8% chance he’s got a handshake agreement to come back for a “Kingdom Come” adaptation - and Gunn and Cavill are doing the very Marvel thing of complete denial for a few years (in this case a decade) before a “Whoops, we planned this all along.”
They rehired him and then fired him, because... Warner Brothers.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s contracturally obligated to Warner Brothers for either a set period of time, or a set number of movies, but the contract doesn’t stipulate that he has to be playing Superman.
Given the nature of Superhero movies nowadays, it’s easy for some of the “stain” to be removed by simply having…
This was the realistic outcome. It would’ve been nice to have Cavill, Gadot, Affleck, etc. get a final send-off movie, but that’s not how the industry works. And another decade is a long time to keep them on. I don’t blame Gunn, I blame the previous regime for their mismanagement that got us to this point.
I hope the guy can find projects far away from Superman and Geralt. I thought he was great in Fallout and Uncle. He deserves a career that doesn’t have all this furor around it.
He can’t, DC traded him to Marvel for Gunn, along with a 2023 first round pick and a conditional fourth rounder in 2024. It seems like a tough deal, but DC needed leadership, and Marvel had the Cap space for him after Evans left.
Alright I guess. But why wouldn’t they use Pattinson’s Batman in a new universe? The movie is solid and has no ties to the old DCEU.
I think of the Hyundai Pony when I read this, it was a terrible but cheap car, a girfriend had one that got stolen- why I a have no idea, she replaced it with a Porsche 944 and me with the venture capitalist who bought the 944
Narrated by Michael Keaton.
Squashing rumors about comic book movies is a full time job in itself. Brie Larson quit/was fired half a dozen times between Captain Marvel and Endgame. Youtube accounts with 300 subscribers know someone who works on the set of Fantastic Four that swear Topher Grace’s Venom is going to appear.
Did...did you read the whole article? They were being closely followed and recommended to NOT do all of what you suggested.
I gotta say, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, all those assholes who try to portray themselves as real “pulled up by their bootstraps” billionaires, really ought to take a look at this guy.
This is a pretty fascinating write-up. I’ve been to Vietnam several times, and one thing that constantly struck me was how friendly, open, and accommodating the people were. Sometime that accommodation jumped over into more of a desire to impress and dump only the most premium experiences on me. Every luxury resort…
