My point is we are now 15 years out of date. That clock does not reset every time you purchase a product.

All of these complaints are for the manufacturers of said devices, not Microsoft. I say again, for how many years is a company required to task software engineers to work on products that create no net income for the company?

No. The only thing being said is that there will be no support. Your device isn't magically vanishing into a smoldering pile. They just aren't going to task paid people to hang around all day fixing it for free. You can run it all you want. As long as it doesn't connect to the internet, I say run it until every chip

For a price. Not free.

I think XP has it beat.

I just emptied a savings account to kill an 8.75% one.

That's the thing: It works perfectly well as long as a third party keeps pouring work into a product they haven't sold in years.

I thought you did want to know, but were just vocally lazy about it.

That sounds like a poor business investment, as we clearly surpassed what people thought the supported range for this operating system was GOING TO BE by several years. Lack of foresight in the expected lifespan of you equipment, hardware and software, is a really easy thing to place blame on. It's like buying a bunch

Because all parties involved are terrible people deserving of scorn. They are a living, breathing, soap opera consisting entirely of shitty people.

The actual quote everyone misattributes is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb".

.............we are being trolled here, right?

Harry laughed, cool and remote, like if a mountain were to laugh. "Someday you'll understand, Ron."

It would interfere with Job's ideal "I can only produce things if I can lay out a truth table of every possible thing you can ever do on it in advance" approach.

Remember? He's a grumpy old luddite who hates learning and hates technology.

Ahhh yes, all the plethora of game changing devices that will just rock the market, that they are just sitting on because they don't feel like releasing.

.......because I don't want to have to learn...

I saw them, I just wanted to join the chorus.

...and missed what the speech was even for. Pass.

So deal with it. Or stop being a terrible person. It's really simple.
