I test drove the 550 hp type F and was underwhelmed.  Bought an R8 v10 instead.

In the heat of the southeast, people love drive-thrus. Wading through 100 deg heat and 99% humidity pretty much uses up any refreshment you just bought. Besides, my hybrid shuts off the engine while I’m in line.

If I was worried about security, the security checkpoint would probably be the first place I’d go, not the bathroom.

There are racetracks for this sort of thing.

Of course, I was being facetious. Used to be that a commercial flight was faster than a two hour drive, not anymore. Plus, any sort of delay with a connecting flight can ruin the best laid plans.

A few years ago I took the family to the Melrose plantation in Louisiana specifically for the “slave tour”.  It was enlightening and saddening.  There are other plantation tours that focus on the slavery aspect, as they should.

Today, my wife was planning a trip for us that would involve a commercial airline flight or a 10 hour drive. When asked what would I prefer I said, I’ll take the ten hour drive, it’s a no-brainer.

The dark web was made for 8chan anarchists like the internet was made for porn. I’m thinking it’s probably best that these losers have somewhere to vent that isn’t where the rest of us are.

Libraries have wi-fi and absolutely love people who come there and stay for hours. At our local library, the librarian told us that the wi-fi is available in the parking lot in case you’re in your pajamas and need some quiet time working in your car-office.  I love librarians.

It’s not that hard. Just make all guns single shot. The reload time by itself will allow a lot more people to get away and the cops to show.  Who the fuck needs a 30 round clip anyway?  I think this would be far easier to enact than an outright ban.

True, it’s all about the sweet profits. Still, why not just allow everything on social media and let the people decide what they like and don’t like?  Alternately, there could be subscription list.  Opt in or out and see the world the way you want to.

I think these are different problems.  Seat belts, like motorcycle helmets, protect against unforeseen problems. In this case, the father was in full control and fully responsible.  He definitely needed something to remind him that his precious kids were still in the car.  He must have really been distracted.

The father is certainly responsible and to blame. Whether or not he should be prosecuted for a crime is another matter(he shouldn’t be). I doubt there was any intention but there was certainly a responsibility and he should bear the blame.  The article is about blame and I’m pretty sure the bereft father feels he’s

The driver was to blame. Period. That’s what the article is about. If you don’t think he’s to blame for forgetting his kids in the back of his car to the point where they died a horrible death, then I don’t know what to say. Who else was going to take care of them?

The customer doesn’t know how the restaurant handles cleanup or when that starts or if a late customer really fucks up their system.  We’re customers, not mind readers.  Stop taking orders early if it’s a problem.

Ok, here we agree. As a pilot, the checklist and the routine are incredibly important to not missing any potential problems. That’s why despite doing the same routine every flight you always go through the checklist because our minds will fill in the blanks. I still consider myself ultimately responsible whether or

Yes I read the article and I agree that being distracted is a condition that can affect anyone. But what if you take a ride in a car with someone and they run a red light by accident because they’re “distracted” and you’re killed, are they not responsible?

If you have ever absentmindedly forgotten something, like where your keys are, or to stop and pick up milk on the way home, this could absolutely happen to you too.

Millions of parents put their kid(s) in the backseat and no one dies. These are preventable deaths period. Don’t be making excuses.

This article plus the one about Doordash drivers messing with your food if they don’t like the way you tip is the reason I never order food for delivery. Apparently it’s safer to drive and pick it up.
