The truth is that no one who can easily drop $200k on a sports car wants to buy a $60k corvette unless it’s part of their collection.

Don’t regret it. The only thing that should be itemized out (and this is subject to debate) is the tax since it goes directly to the government. The employee benefit charge goes right into the operating income just like the meal price. It’s definitely a way to skim more from the customer without obviously raising

You also can’t disprove that we’re living in a simulation.

I used to think being Agnostic was the “safe” choice but it’s really a cop out.  Now I say “at this point I’m Atheist until proven otherwise”.  I don’t mind being wrong, just not stupid.

The black box way that Google likes to function highlights the fact that they only care about collecting data about you and controlling what you see and hear.

    Nicely said.

This seems like a good reason to have user adjustable content filters. This way someone doing research into hate speech or related topics can see the unfiltered results instead of relying on Google to decide what is appropriate content. Who cares if white supremacists are watching white supremacist hate speech videos?

What would be damn gratifying to see is Congress working on the myriad of issues (like healthcare) instead of putting on this kabuki theater and thinking they’re doing their job. It’s pretty obvious that even if Trump is impeached by the House, the Senate won’t go along and even if all the stars line up and Trump is

The problem is that now there are like 2 billion facebook users and you can’t just shut it down without fucking over 2 billion people. Also the don’t go on FB advice isn’t going to work for most people. This is an area where the government needs to regulate since FB pretty much has a monopoly.

Lol, every time I think maybe I should have kept that FB account that I deleted several years ago, I’m reminded why.

There have been several comments like yours suggesting that if your server isn’t happy with their tip then you should suspect your food may end up being a little more than you ordered but not in the good way.

Thanks, I’ll be eating at home from now on where I know I’ll wash my hands first.

Lol, I love it when a contractor tells you there’s a discount for cash payments vs. a check. Wink, wink.

No, what your asking for is to continue to stereotype people. All actors (trans or otherwise) deserve is to be hired on the basis of their ability to give a compelling performance. Do you think a trans actor wants to be known as a trans actor or good actor?

Thank you. Asking an actor to play a role simply because they are that role in real life is insulting.  Not to mention the studio is running a business, not a non-profit outreach program.

I don’t have a voice assistant. Does it tell you that someone else may be listening in?

Lots of companies ask if you want to contribute data analytics.  This should be strictly an opt-in feature turned off by default.  Every time I update my phone or computer I end up spending a bunch of time making sure they didn’t turn something back on.

You gave the best answer yet.

In this day of data collection as a business model, you can bet they are logging and keeping every single bit of location, speed, etc. data.  You never know who you might be able to sell it to.

Absolutely.  We ALL have a moral responsibility to try and help people close to us who threaten suicide.  At the very least, don’t encourage them, ever.
