Why stop at polishing? They should curve them too and turn the car into a rolling Archimedes death ray

“cyclists should not be in the road if there is no bike lane or in an area with sidewalks that are rarely used”

Fuck that, if you are driving drunk and hit people it is attempted murder.

Two things:

They aren’t unaware of this. They are strongly incentivized by the State and Federal government to build out renewable energy sources. Very few of these incentives prioritize electricity usage over energy production. They get their incentive regardless of the percentage of the production that gets curtailed.

as a semi professional z fan. Id have to say its decent looking. they should of used mesh

As a non-Z fan (but with plenty of respect for the line) I gotta disagree with this take as well. I think it looks fantastic.

Nope. Not better. The split grille is an improvement in my opinion; but I’ll take it a step further and say Nissan should have made the divider even thicker and shaped the ends of the upper grille somewhat so it doesn’t look so much like a mail slot.

Looks much better, and frankly they should just make this the standard front end. And yea, as someone else mentioned, this was supposed to be an affordable car. I’ve seen exactly one in the wild since these came out. At $35-40K I’d probably be spending my time on Nissan’s configurator night after night until I broke

I’m fully in favor of solar as part of an optimal energy mix, but we need to stop measuring the success of an energy source based on how much energy is produced. It needs to be based on how much energy is used. Measuring success based purely on produced energy completely ignores curtailment. For an extreme example, I

Well yeah, but it’s still a modern sports car with three pedals.  That’s something to be happy about in 2024.

I really like it. And given my poor Miata was demolished by a tow truck last month, I’m in the market.

As a Z fan and owner, I’m going to have to completely disagree with your take here. I hate the mega mouth look and think the heritage split grille is an absolutely massive improvement. Being able to choose this grille is a fantastic option.

But effective strategies to tackle drug use are not popular. Things like safe shooting rooms, free drugs at treatment centers, free housing, healthcare, etc... That stuff is what works, it has been proven to work over and over again all across the world. The punitive model that America is wedded to discourages nobody.

O them ol Duke boys at it again.

My 16 year old learned in an afternoon. You can, too.

How can anyone justify this treatment? How can people continue to make excuses for such an objectively flawed and compromised vehicle?

Can we implement a new rule on Jalopnik that whenever you write about a car that isn’t going to be available in the US, you state that upfront? I was already pulling out my checkbook by the time I got to the bottom and you crushed my little heart.

I think you’re greatly over estimating how much low level “influencers” and wannabe social media “celebrities” make.

I’ve seen shirtless, barefoot tweakers scale razor wire fences and broken glass covered ledges to steal copper from a rooftop in broad daylight.
