Jalopnik will never recommend a Tesla because they are not able to separate the politics from the car.

Which brand did you go with? I have been shopping lately.

Yeah, what you described is called math. There’s nothing tricky about it.

Dan mentions in his video that it’s awaiting a software update to get the back wheels to act like a locking dif and consequently the front dif also doesn’t lock? So yeah - yet another way it shipped in beta mode.

Try not to laugh, because this will seem dumb at first. But I plan to live for another 40+ years. I’d love to say an OG NSX or a Viper, because I don’t want to give up my Sports Car/Muscle Car dreams. But my knees are already not the best. So it’s got to be easy enough for an old dude with dubious joints to get in and

My dad bought a new Cross-Fire Infected Trans Am, specially ordered, in 1982.  The car was gorgeous but it could not get out of its own way.  Sounded good while “accelerating” though.

Outstanding! Thank you! And Thank you for your comment.

The limit is really at 88 mph.  Once you hit 88 mph, the entire concept of “braking time” becomes moot.

I don’t. But numerous ADAS studies have found precisely this...its a consistent finding. Sorry, but I don’t keep mental track of paper titles, authors, institutions, etc. of the papers I read :/

I just commented along these lines.

I also think this might not be the best idea.

You’re following too close.

Does this mean you will quit bitching about my pickup truck?

I’m genuinely curious how you know that. That seems like a VERY complicated thing to calculate.

The per-passenger vs. airlines thing is ridiculous. People get on a plane for 3 hours and then get off, you’re living on this thing for a week. Using A to B travel emissions doesn’t make any sense for a comparison.
