That was pretty cool. The random appearance of Don Mattrick got a chuckle out of me.

Best one.

Oh man. Don't tell me that's what the anime is like. The heroes are summoned by kids? Jesus.

Von Hassel and his dad reported the issue to Microsoft, and the folks at Xbox not only fixed the issue, but added him to their acknowledgement list as an official Security Researcher. He also gets four free games, $50, and a year-long subscription to Xbox Live.

Hope this appears on the UK PSN. I noticed they added Persona 3 to the UK one recently. Still wish they'd add Suikoden. Friend of mine had a copy of that and lost it. That game was worth a lot of pennies.

Always wish I could find evidence of this but, back when Bruce Willis did that Apocalypse game, Activision sent out Apocalypse themed condoms to journos and the like. They were black and had "Die hard" on the side of them.

Never used a laptop really. Never had the need. That sort of camera wouldn't bother me so much. It's the fact they're forcing us to buy this Kinect with little justification. They didn't even try to justify it with games. I never buy gaming accessories on a promise of what may come later on. They have to justify that

That's handy and nice tech, but how many games are using it? This all presumes people actually want to talk to their devices. I guess I'm too old and just find button presses easier and more precise.

The Project Spark thing is cool, which isn't surprising cos that game is excellent looking. Head tracking in Battlefield is a bit of a novelty. There really isn't much for games though. I'm not fussed about a large amount of the multimedia stuff. My PC and even my cable box handles all that stuff fine. Which isn't

What conspiracy theory? It's a camera connected to the internet that is pointed at you. There has been cases before where people have found their laptop cameras being logged into remotely. Any camera inside your home like that is inherently creepy. It's not like a security camera which has a purpose for those who have

Which I why I was saying a mic in the controller would do the same. Or even the headset. Most of my friends only use the voice controls too on the current Kinect. Only know one guy that's got an Xbox One so far and he hasn't mentioned using Kinect at all.

I don't have the camera on my phone pointed at me all the time. I don't control things on my phone with my voice. All technology has creepy sides to it these days but I'd rather it didn't. It's not just that though, Kinect isn't justified for most people. Tell me how Kinect has benefited gaming on Xbox. And I mean

Heh. It's like they planned to spawn new ways to mess with gamers.

It seems like such a logical step. Either that or just release something that makes it worth having. Because right now it's a creepy camera pointed at the user that does little. They keep going on about voice control, but if that was such a big deal they could have just chucked a mic in the controller.

Awesome. I look forward to seeing more of a focus on games, but I won't hold my breath. If he does something drastic to prove the focus early on I'll start to believe. Like, maybe justify that Kinect being bundled in each box. There's a lot I like on Xbox one but so much bad. I almost feel like I must be missing

It's almost as revelatory as Square Enix realising gamers like RPGs.

Watched this this morning. Very good video from Chris. He deserves way more views than he gets. Love what people like him and Satchbag do when it comes to games critique.

Not sure how to turn that into an acronym but it works.

Goat of the year?
