I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I tried it.

Dat useless comment.
This is exactly what I've been looking for!
Each time it's the same...
How are we getting "the short end of the stick"? We have everything the US has, in terms of technology, PLUS this.
I agree. The LV interpretation looks fairly good. But, Hatsune Miku has a hardcore cult surrounding her, so the otaku have to defend what's sacred to them. (Even though it's essentially a generic anime girl.)
One word: Nerds.
It's so true about "anime" in the art world. I went to OCAD, and if someone showed up for the admissions interview with any "anime" art in their portfolio the professor would immediately close it and say "thank you for coming, goodbye".
I spend way more time reading about games than playing games. It's been that way for years now. The industry itself holds my interest, I read sites like this daily, but actually sitting down for a few hours to play... it takes a SPECIAL game to do that lately.
What Unicode has done for us is astonishing. It used to take all sorts of effort to get your computer to show anything other than basic Latin characters. Now you can use virtually any character set on Earth, and bend them to your will, as the Japanese have done in this case.
Like with OLN, it looks like Rogers in Canada is going to have another orphaned brand. They can't change the Canadian G4 into anything else because of license restrictions.
Gotta agree. The 2D art gave it that hot-blooded anime feel. Fluid motion just won't be the same.
Ya, they're probably going to have to come up with a different title for the game if they release this one here...
They're all hideous.
That's what always happens. It's a feature of our brains. In 10 years time, we'll mentally filter out all the crap from this era and think only of the golden bits.
It's also the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary this year.
Dammit, I've only got 200 points. My gold Wiimote will have to stay paired with a white Nunchuk. x_x
That would be nice. The visuals in New Super Mario Bros. do nothing for me... they're too clean, plastic, and vibrant.
I'd forgotten about this show. I watched it during its first run on CBC, and I loved it. Paul Gross is a great actor in these sort of roles.
Yes, but if I wanted to play it in "the late '90s equivalent", I'd just plug in my Dreamcast.
