At least it wasn't another unfunny Tyler Perry Madea clusterfuck. This movie actually looks to be good. I'm not surprised.

I saw Diary of a Mad Black Woman in the theater in Atlanta long before it was made into the movie and the ending made me so angry, I swore I'd never watch another TP production. And even though I believe the ended WAS changed in the movie version, I just find TP's work so... simplistic and unrealistic in some ways. …

I guess it really must be shocking that Black people do other things besides overcome racial plight. We might just be, oh....what is it? Normal? Doing things that...white folks do? Like having complicated relationships? And celebrating the holidays? Perhaps. We might be human after all.

Black people celebrate the holidays and love one another and have fun??? How about that?

Yay in 50 years we can have Hispanic movies where we aren't maids too! I'll be in my 80's but I can't wait!

Of course it's race themed.White people are the default humans, everyone else is just a theme and novelty. That's the way it is according to Hollywood at least.

Unfortunately, I suspect this film fits into the familiar Black Film genre/niche- much like Tyler Perry films.
