It's so unfortunate that that's true. Most white people do not care about racism because it doesn't affect them and most likely never will.

She shouldn’t be upset with you. You didn’t ignore her and I’m sure you responded as soon as you knew she was trying to get ahold of you. Now she knows for next time that if that happens you aren't ignoring her, you just may not have gotten her text yet.
I had no idea about lawn jockeys. I don’t think most people in my area have them and I never would have known their problematic history before now.
What? My mom is a medical professional had my sister and I get all of our vaccinations. She always recommends that I get vaccinated against meningitis too because it spreads easily on college campuses. She has family members who are permanently disabled from childhood illnesses that we can now protect against. She…
Yeah I've seen that too. Like how people believe they can catch the flu from the flu vaccine.
My dad told me that my grandfather had mumps as an adult and it spread to his testicles. It could have caused infertility but luckily didn’t. People really don’t realize how diseases like that can affect a person's life even if it doesn't kill them.
I'm really sorry you had such a bad experience. I have a close friend who was adopted and he has told me a little bit about just how difficult it can be. Don't let anyone else tell you what to do when it comes to starting your family.
I wonder why it's more dangerous to contract it as an older child. Any medical professionals around to explain that?
There were also no bad people in the world back then. It's the feminists' and gays' fault that we have any problems whatsoever today. *sarcasm*
“But, there were no autistic kids in my class when I was a kid! My mother also decided not to get us vaccinated. We should just go back to living the way people did in the 50's and everything will be ok." This is basically their argument
People also argue that diseases like measles and mumps aren’t really that bad and that they usually aren’t lethal and don’t cause people to be disabled for the rest of their lives.
I' ve seen a lot of these people argue that vaccines aren't the reason why diseases like polio and measles have been eradicated. They argue that nutrition and sanitation are the real reasons why. They won't accept the evidence no matter how clear it is and their children will end up dead like this kid.
A lot of people that I know don't even call it the confederate flag. They call it the "rebel flag".
I’m also a light skinned Hispanic and I agree with what you’re saying. A white man called my mother a “spic” directly to her face and I can’t even describe the awful feeling it gave me, but you’re correct that I will never face discrimination because white people don’t perceive me as Hispanic.
These women aren’t citizens.
Same exact thing happened to me. :(
That's terribly sad. I'm guessing you're black. I guess some people don't understand that NYC is a very diverse place and that they're going to have to interact with people who don't look like them.
Sounds like he may have issues with anxiety in general if he has a fear that's that irrational.
I have a close friend who is really sensitive to textures too. I wonder if there's actually a reason behind it. My friend is also very picky and doesn't like a lot of things. I wonder if maybe she has more taste buds and so things taste stronger to her.
The issue really is premarital sex for some people. I know people who believe abortion is ok if a woman was raped, but "if she was just screwing around" she should "take responsibility" and suffer for the choice she made.
