If you’re using your own hardware and software how do you not have a simple traction control system? In something that you can vary the current (torque) in an instant, it shouldn’t be very hard. Even Megasquirt can do amazing traction control just by pulling timing from one cylinder event to the next.

I’m not talking about the A-10 though specifically. My question is could a new weapon with equal or more capacity due to a smaller cartridge compete with the GAU-8?

Obviously the GAU-8 is the greatest thing ever to me, but has 40 years of technology done anything to lessen it’s superiority? Could something like this be any better than the GAU-8, if fitted with equivalent ammo capacity?
