Going based on the Bible by 14 your daughter should be married off to a man who she will be subservient to for the rest of her life and be pregnant.

Who God then commanded to enslave those among the inferior races they wanted and to murder the rest. I’m beginning to notice a theme here.

Let me see if I have your point right. The entire show has a poor animation style, because one episode did. Never mind that said episode has since been fixed and if you were to view it again you wouldn’t even be able to see it?

I can both understand and respectfully disagree with your point. At least you give a valid reason. I disagree that it looks bad, but I understand why you describe it the way you do.

I’ve heard this before too. I’m not a cop, but I know guns. If someone can charge you with a knife from 20 feet away before you have time to draw and fire you need to spend more time at the range.

George R R Martin’s attempts at addressing the lack of diversity in his books is even more pathetic. I’ll link to it, but the gist is that Westersos “is nowhere near as diverse” as America.

Maybe it is because I live in the south, but the only way you can go weeks without seeing a black person is if you are in a coma. This applies whether you live in the city or country. Stupid racism is still quite abundant.

Elements of white supremacy are actually really bad for a lot of so called “working class” white Americans. Policies that would help elevate PoC and other minority communities also benefit lower income white communities. I know none of this is new news to anyone here, but I’m utterly baffled on how the majority of

All though every claim should be taken seriously, I simply can’t agree with this. I had a friend who’s life was ruined due to a false rape claim. There was no doubt he was innocent in the end as when confronted with the evidence even the complainant admitted she made the whole thing up. I agree about not risking

I was wrong about that, however she still famously used the term in a 1996 speech in support of the Violent Crime Control Act, which has been a big factor in modern prison overpopulation. That’s why I thought she came up with it.

Thanks for the correction, however she still helped popularize it.

I highly doubt Emma seriously believes the national anthem should be “Work It” by Missy Elliot.

I really believe in single payer healthcare, which is why I liked him at the time. I still voted for Clinton in the primary though, although to be fair she was the one who coined the term “super predators.”

Actually, if you paid attention the polls were spot on. Clinton had a massive lead early on, and as scandal after scandal broke the gap lessened. When Comey reopened the email investigation days before the election the last polls showed them neck and neck with Trump edging her out in a few places, which is exactly

Last presidential election both Dems and Republicans ran on that exact same premise, and that is how we wound up with the two worst possible choices from each party. Hope 2018 is more about the issues and policy than it is about emails and deplorables.

Some one said to me recently after I said something nasty about the alt right demonstrators in Florida during that Spencer speech that I “will never win them to my side” with that attitude. I don’t want them. I don’t want to win their hearts or minds. I don’t want to change their minds. I want them to go on being just

I was abandoned economically too. I went to community college, which I could afford thanks to Obama’s expansion of education assistance, learned a new skill, and got a great job in a growing career field. Not everyone can do exactly what I did, but everyone can do something like I did.

I always see myself somewhere on these lists. It’s embarrassing, but I’ll own it and try to do better.

I think a lot of white people get hung up on trying to be good white people instead of just trying to be good people. That is something I learned on this blog and has kind of stuck with me.

One thing I have come to realize is that much of the time when white people come to The Root and say anything with “white people” in it, you could take the word white out and the comment would make as much or more sense. My point being, we need to focus on being good people, not on being good “white people.”
