Nope. Socialism gets you Volvos, Saabs and Citroens. Communism is another story. Completely.

Indeed.

Albert Camus drove a Renault 4L. At least on the accident that claimed his life (if I’m not wrong).

Does it come with two Central European hookers in the trunk? Alive?

Did you try to push the door levers inside their sill? That’s how they did in the southern cone.

Used to have a Ford Ka. A blast to drive on winding roads at full throttle. Also, a pretty basic diesel Peugeot 206. The epithome of slow-car-fast kind of fun.

Papazo

At 0:49 you can see at least two cops, with blue shirts and reflective stripes. There are a number of policemen and security officers under investigation now. It seems that all they do well is protecting big drug dealers and harassing the poor. They never serve their purpose.

Yup. From the same province where the rally goes.

Actually, those people were behind a red tape (big NO) on the outer side of a fast turn (bigger NO NO), so they are the sole responsible of the accident. It needs to be said that there were about 70,000 people on that stage, and it’s humanly impossible to control everyone. Also, this is extremely unusual in Cordoba,

The end of a Dynasty, you said?

It can be worse: check the Brazilian Chevrolet Traffic.

Those ar Fiat Regattas. I don’t remember the name of the movie, but in one scene there were also Fiat Spazios (the latest Argentine iteration of the Fiat 127). I guess those were Argentine Regattas, and hence the double “t” (Italian cars were named “Regata”). And yes, the built quality matched the movie.

Thank you!

It’s impressive how most of them seem so natural without wheels, especially the Citroens (yes, even the H van). Now, and for the rest of my life, I will find wheels to be an inconvenient, artificial afterthought.

The VW Apollo (two-door Ford Orion) was sold only in Brazil; the VW 1500 was sold in Argentina (after VW purchased Dodge’s operations, including the car). The truck is an utter mistery, sir.

Well, the VW 1500 could have been a Dodge Polara :)

10, not bad. That VW Hilux just killed me, and the whatever Accord.

A 4 cylinder tossed to the sea? In England? Easy: Morris Marina.
