And what’s El Chapo famous for again?

You're not fooling anyone.

You sound like you have healthy and successful relationships with women.

Uh... so you're not paying attention but just wanted to throw off a comment that demonstrates how clueless you are?

This is a parody of a foolish comment about how women are to blame for sexual assault going unpunished right?

Because society is starting to pay more serious attention to sexual misconduct. Why shouldn’t a huge membership organization that runs many events, accounting for all kinds of minor details and contingencies, have a protocol for what to do when a member alleges sexual assault? Internal policies can supplement, rather

You’re right that it’s she, my mistake. She is clarifying for herself too...doesn’t mean I can’t try to contribute.

I don’t think he’s talking about women getting preyed upon. I think he’s talking about both parties being drunk, neither intending to hurt the other. I would think that a small percentage of rape allegations come from instances like this, but perhaps enough that it is worth an open dialogue about how we should process

Sure it can, just poorly phrased.

Maybe you don't know what nosy means? Responding to a cry for help does not fit the definition.

What do you mean “necessarily”? That Clinton has the election on lock?

I hear you. To be fair, my personal bias is that more empathy is needed in almost every situation, so my comments are directed towards the notion of a zero sum game in the sympathy/empathy department.

They were both going through something no one should go through. This idea that only one party in any interaction is deserving of sympathy or empathy seems pretty toxic to me.

I don't understand the mentality that people are either flawed or deserving of sympathy, but not both. Racism is not ok, but she still just lost her son to a violent death, so I see no contradiction between thinking that she acted shittily towards the reporter but also is going through something no one should have to
