You’re partially correct in that the civil war WAS about states rights.. specifically states rights (over federal authority) to allow slavery. That was it. There wasn’t something else on the table. So don’t shorten it up just to make racists feel better.

Except that this is exactly why they voted for him. This is exactly what they wanted him to do - hurt brown people. Make no mistake in thinking that being a Trump supporter doesn’t mean you are a racist. If you still support him, you most certainly are.
